Cast Iron Seared Skirt Steak

This seared skirt steak makes for a delicious, fast and easy way to kick up tonight's dinner.

INGREDIENTS

  • Skirt steak (~1 lb.) can also use flank steak
  • Rosemary (fresh), 1-2 sprigs
  • Garlic (4-5 cloves)
  • Microbrew Tea Co. BBQ Honey (1 tbsp)
  • Salt + Pepper to taste
  • Butter (1 tbsp)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Bring a cast iron skillet to high heat
  • Add butter and bring to near brown
  • Add rosemary, garlic cloves and skirt steak to skillet
  • Sear steak for 2-3 min. per side (for medium rare), moving steak, garlic and rosemary around the skillet. Turn over steak and repeat
  • Once garlic and rosemary are caramelized, remove from skillet 
  • Add BBQ honey
  • Remove honey coated skirt steak from skillet and let rest
  • Slice and drizzle addtional honey (if desired)
